Fleur Outfits
1250-1259
1250
What occasion is Fleur outfit 1250 for? The combo of dramatic blouse with a big frill at the neckline - worn with tailored knee-length pants - doesn't seem dressy enough for a party, or casual enough for day wear. The colour of the fabric is sort of a military green/gray, livened up with gold accessories. In the bottom left photo, Fleur is wearing this outfit while enjoying a glass of wine alone - and why not?
The photo of the NRFB outfit is not mine - source unknown.
Accessories: green hat, gold neck wrap, gold purse, gold belt
Shoes: white sandals

Fleur is probably wearing outfit 1251 because she got invited for some horse riding at Schloss Philippsruhe in Hanau, Germany (in the background of promo photo). She looks so elegant in her bright red suit with black satin lapels and fake pockets, worn with a fitted below-knee skirt. Underneath - a crisp white shirt with a beautiful jabot trimmed with black ribbon. You can see part of this outfit NRFB in the bottom left photo (and her friend wearing outfit 1250 too).
Accessories: satin black hat with red ribbon
Shoes: black knee-high boots

1252
Fleur outfit 1252 is a timeless cosy look. A knitted, multi-coloured striped pullover sweater worn over long white pants, with a blue string belt around the waist. A red faux-leather shoulder bag and red hat add a splash of colour. I have never seen the sweater variation in the promo photo, but maybe it exists? :)
Accessories: red hat, red faux-leather bag
Shoes: red sandals

1253
Fleur outfit 1253 may look like a housework outfit, but it's actually a lovely dress with a matching apron. The dress is made of blue-and-white check fabric with long sleeves, white cuffs and collar, and two buttons in the front for decoration. The buttons could be blue or red. The white apron has a real check pocket in front.
Accessories: two check mittens, small blue cotton towel trimmed with white lace
Shoes: white kitten heels with small flower

1254
Six Fleur outfits share number 1254 - they make a wonderful casual collection for (almost) all seasons. They were sold in a pick box with a slogan 'Six new ways to dress your best friend.' (so sweet). They were also featured in the
1982 Fleur booklet, so we know they are from the early 1980s.
Each outfit has a separate plastic garment bag with a printed Fleur logo and a real zipper. The bags are beautiful and of excellent quality. The clothes - they are definitely of 'budget' quality. None have shoes, although two have belts. Look further down for more details and to see Fleurs modelling each outfit.
Accessories: black belt, black string
Shoes: none

Below, you see the six sets modelled by Fleurs. As already noted, none of these outfits have shoes, so I added them for the photos. The sets are (from top left):
- yellow one-piece knee-length jumper with a black string tie and black belt
- two-piece set of white corduroy pants (very good quality) and a colourful plaid shirt (in several patterns)
- cool space-chic silver coat with two black buttons and a belt (under the coat, Fleur is wearing jeans and top borrowed from outfit 1272)
- pinafore knee-length red plaid dress worn over a turtleneck shirt (this is exactly the same as Fleur outfit 1201, only the shirt fabric is a little different)
- dark blue corduroy A-line skirt and jacket with a red trim and white collar (very good quality)
- brown-red plaid dress with white collar and cuffs (also good quality)

So romantic! Fleur surely has rose-tinted dreams in this 1255 outfit of midi-length sleeveless satin nightgown and a matching cap - both decorated with a flower on the front (there are design variations of the flower). Over the nightgown, Fleur wears a gorgeous floor-length lace peignoir (robe) with a high frill neck and long ribbon tie.
Accessories: pink satin cap, white plastic hair comb and brush
Shoes: white flip flops

1256
Fleur outfit 1256 is a style lesson on how to soften a badass leather look. It's a dark brown set of jacket and pants made of faux leather with corduroy inserts. The jacket has a real zipper. Underneath: a romantic white blouse with a delicate flower pattern (four variations of blouse fabric are below, there are probably more) and a chef-style cap made of the same material as the blouse.
Accessories: faux leather brown bag
Shoes: brown sandals

1257
Frilly and feminine, Fleur outfit 1257 is beautiful, but unfortunately very delicate - so it's hard to find it in good condition today. The outfit has three parts - a colourful striped A-line skirt with a pink frill at bottom, a sleeveless pink shirt with a striped frill at the neck, and a sleeveless striped vest over the top. The necklace may have a variety of colours. Two variations of the striped fabric have been found so far - see them both below. Note how the necklace is affixed in two different places in the boxes.
Accessories: pink triangular head scarf (also could be worn as a shoulder wrap), pink handbag with one white flower button, three-strand bead necklace
Shoes: red kitten heels with small flower

1258
When it rains, Fleur wears her lovely outfit 1258 - a royal blue nylon raincoat with real pockets, four white flower buttons, and a blue belt. For her head - a removable hood of the same royal blue vinyl, lined with white-and-blue check material on the inside.
Accessories: royal blue nylon umbrella
Shoes: white knee-high boots

1259
Was this look trendy at some point in the 1980s? Fleur outfit 1250 is an interesting fashion ensemble. She's wearing a beautiful white high-neck blouse with lace around the collar and one red fabric stripe down the front. Over the blouse - a large triangle shoulder wrap. The wrap fabric could be thick or thin, with the plaid pattern woven or printed. On the bottom - black satin knickerbocker-style pants (the same pants as outfit 1270) with a gold-red bow at the front. And the strangest thing on top - a headband made of red and beige twine. Her red bag could be plain red (like the one in the box) or with a snakeskin pattern.
Accessories: red faux leather shoulder bag, twine headband
Shoes: red knee-high boots
