In 1981, Fleur got her second kitchen set called The Wonder Kitchen (De WonderKeuken in Dutch). It is a one-piece set with many accessories - pots, pan, mixer, kettle, turkey, and paper food plates. There are many more photos of the Wonder Kitchen on my Fleur blog.

You have to be very careful with this kitchen - it is quite heavy and there is no padding inside its box at all. If you drop it, something will break for sure. When buying, do ask your online seller to pack it very securely. Below you see photos of the front and back of the box.

The kitchen comes with all of the accessories you see below: two pots, a frying pan, a kettle, a mixer (usually red, but mine is orange, same as the top shelf), a turkey (already perfectly cooked!), a sheet of pop-out cardboard plates with pictures of food, and use instructions (you can read them at the bottom of my blog).

A clever drawer below the oven takes 4 AA batteries, which are connected to the stove burners. When you place the pots on the stove, they make real cooking noises - bubbling, whistling and sizzling. Big thanks to Angela from vintage_fleur_doll for the adorable video of the sounds!

This kitchen is super cute when stocked with accessories, but unfortunately it's the wrong size for Fleur - too small. The top of the kitchen barely reaches her chin - so she looks quite funny when cooking. When Fleur furniture is the wrong scale, it sometimes means it was not designed exclusively for her. Maybe another toy company has used the same design.

One of Fleur's most beautiful advertisements is for the Wonder Kitchen. I love the very realistic photos in full colour. This advertisement is all about the real sounds of the kitchen. The paragraph at the top says: This new Fleur kitchen is a real wonder kitchen. You can not only see what you are cooking, you can hear it too! So the kettle really whistles. You hear the mixer whisking. And the egg sizzles in the pan. Go soon to look and listen at the store where you always buy goodies for your Fleur.
